Introduction
St. Peter’s Out of School Club operates as part of the St. Peter’s School Family offering wraparound care for learners aged 3 – 11. Wraparound care is available every day in term time from 7.45am in the morning, until 5.45pm in the evening.
The setting operates a play-based, child-led curriculum and as such offers a range of fun and engaging activities, crafts and sports each day.
The setting benefits from a large hall space within the school’s dining room, with access to extensive outdoor facilities including a garden and forest school area, as well as large indoor play spaces.
The provision very much mirrors the values and ethos of the school, utilising every opportunity to open doors for our children through learning, faith and care. The OOSC provides a happy and safe place for learners to have fun together, trying new things and learning new skills.
Snacks
In morning sessions children are offered a breakfast choice of toast and cereal, along with water, juice and milk available throughout the session.
In afternoon sessions an after-school snack of toast or fruit is offered to all children before they begin their activities.

Booking Sessions
Sessions are bookable in advance. This allows us to ensure adequate staffing in each session to meet your requirements. By booking a session with us, you agree to pay for the session regardless of whether your child attends it (for example through illness).
To support families in pre-booking sessions in advance, which makes the most of the discounts available, parents/carers will have the option to pre-book sessions for the whole school year or term by term. Booking forms will be sent out before the end of each term, to be returned by a set deadline. All bookings received after this deadline will be classed as Ad-Hoc sessions and will incur the higher charge.
For those parents/carers who are unable to predict their usage in advance (eg. shift workers), please contact Mrs Saunders in the school office who will be happy to support you with an alternative booking pattern (evidence of shift working will be required).
Additional ad-hoc sessions will be accommodated if possible, these can be booked by either messaging on Dojo or via email OOSC@st-peters-hixon.staffs.sch.uk. We ask that you pay for these via ParentPay prior to the date requested, by topping up your account with the relevant amount. Pre-booking is the only way to guarantee the sessions that you want, as we will not be able to accommodate additional sessions if the staffing levels are not sufficient.
